The very beautiful and strong icon of the Mother of God "Dostoino Est" or "Miluiuschaya", gold-colored and silver-colored double embossing, in a wooden frame, under the protective glass.
The icon of the Mother of God "Dostoino Est", is located on the high place of the altar of the Cathedral Church of the Kareia Monastery on Mount Athos. On a certain Sunday, and living not far from Kareia, an elder went to the monastery for the night vigil. A novice remained in the cell, and with the onset of night there was a blow from an unknown monk. At the time of the vigil, when it was necessary to sing "More honorable than the cherubim...", both stood in front of the icon of the Mother of God, called "The Merciful" ("Miluiuschaya"), and the guest noticed, that they should sing "limit that it really is..." . During the time of singing the previously unheard song, the icon of the Mother of God brightened with a heavenly light, and the beginner wept with joy. At his request, for lack of paper, this amazing song was written over the stone, which was softened like wax under the hand of the strange singer. Calling himself Gabriel, the stranger then became invisible. The icon of the Mother of God, in front of which was first sung the "Border That It Is", was transferred to the Cathedral-Church of the Dormition of the MostHoly Mother of God at Kareia (the administrative center of Athos). The memorial stone, with the song inscribed thereon by the Archangel Gabriel, was taken to Constantinople during the time when the Patriarch was canonized Nicholas Chrysoberges (+ 995, Comm. December 16). Numerous copies of the "Border It Is" ("Merciful") icon, are revered as sacred in Russian churches. At the Galerna port of Peterburg there a five-domed church was erected in honor of the Merciful Mother of God, and in it they place a grace-bearing "Merciful" icon sent from Athos.
The icon is in the gift cardboard packaging with the panorama of Jerusalem. The dimensions together with the frame: the height approx. 155 mm, the width approx. 133 mm, the thickness approx. 22 mm. On the circulating side of the icon there is the metallic loop for hanging the icon on the wall. On this icon the capsule with the particle of the earth from Gefsimani is built. The icon is consecrated by the Holy Bogojawlensky water from the Jordan River.
At the rear end of the icon there is the metal loop for attaching the icon to the wall.
